In this day of social media, everyone is inclined to post good photos without using too much additional efforts. Or as what some millennials call it, convenience in one hand. I mean we look for a venue for photography, hobby, messaging and personal recreation all in one smartphone.

Well, we all know that there are already leaders in making good smartphones in the market, but let us address the real elephant in the room. What is the smartphone that really fits your personality? Your hobby? Your inclination to photography? That is what I am trying to tell you. Today, I am sharing one of the new favorites of the growing market. Let’s talk about the newly released ZenFone 5Q by ASUS.
I have been using white and gold phone so it didn’t surprise me why I love 5Q midnight black color. I also like its front and rear glass, aluminum frame.
I got hold of this beautiful ZenFone 5Q during its launch here in Manila last April and at first I really don’t know what to expect. For a lifestyle blogger like me who loves to travel, dine and collect landscape photos, I was looking for somehow an extra wider camera that is not heavy compare to my current DSLR, a perfect alternative and a sleek and elegant smartphone.
Oh also who can accommodate more people on my selfie. I think I’ve found some interesting features in ZenFone 5Q. The package comes with the basic cables and earphones and a special Zenfone Lite case.
Ok I am not going to bore you with so much technical stuff specification but to a layman’s term, here are the following specifications for ASUS ZenFone 5Q. This phone is also called ZenFone 5 Lite.

I wanted to actually focus on its camera specification
PRIMARY CAMERA: Dual: 16 MP (f/2.2, 26mm, PDAF) + Unknown MP (13mm, no AF), gyro EIS, phase detection autofocus, LED flash
SECONDARY CAMERA: Dual: 20 MP (f/2.0, 23mm, 1/2.8″, 1.0 μm) + Unknown MP (13mm), gyro EIS, LED flash
VIDEO: 2160p@30fps (SDM630 only), 1080p@30/60fps
Compare to ZenFone 5 and Zenfone 5z, ZenFone 5Q in terms of camera is way advance because of its 16 megapixel primary lens. It is one of the very few with a four-camera system. You see that from the specification, its main front cam wins the highest compared to Galaxy S9 (8MP); Honor View 10 (12MP), and One Plus 5T (16MP).
Though it didn’t have that reversible type-C 1.0 connector, its micro USB 2.0 is enough to transfer files for the mid-range category.
I actually love exploring the net as well on this new Zenfone 5Q because the screen compared to iPhone is larger, I like how sleek the design is and a extra thinner bezel that makes the browsing experience worthy.
Here are some of the shots I took using the Zenfone 5Q in Emerald Avenue. I really like this view:
I also tried taking images of colorful items such as food and display on a fast food chain and I can say that the photo color, without the need to put filter is extra brighter.
And ofcourse a widescreen selfie with May and Aileen in Ortigas.
I will recommend Zenfone 5Q for my friends because with a very affordable price of P16,995, you will experience an awesome picture quality with ultra wide-angle mode! Zenfone 5Q is available on Midnight Black and Moonlight White.
