Every group trip has that one person who builds the spreadsheet, compares hotels, checks flight schedules, coordinates everyone’s availability, and somehow keeps the entire itinerary together. Now, Klook wants to give these unsung travel heroes a break. Following research revealing that travel planners are among the least-thanked people in every group chat, Klook is inviting travelers to nominate—or even self-nominate—the planner who deserves a vacation they won’t have to plan.
Klook’s survey of 2,725 travelers across 10 markets found that travel planning ranks among the least-thanked tasks people do for others, even behind everyday favors such as carrying bags or holding doors.
The workload is also significant. More than eight in 10 travel planners say they spend over 10 hours organizing a single group trip, yet their efforts are rarely recognized.
And even when someone else takes over the planning, many planners simply can’t switch off. Some 42.4% admit they are always checking and second-guessing the arrangements, quietly monitoring the trip from the sidelines and ready to step in when something goes wrong.
Klook Philippines General Manager Michelle Ho said the campaign reflects the company’s goal of making travel planning easier so travelers can focus on enjoying their destinations.
“Klook was created to simplify the task of travel planning so travelers can focus on the experiences their destinations have to offer,” Ho said.
“We are excited to exemplify that promise through a fully-planned vacation awarded to five travel planners who always arrange perfect itineraries for their friends and family.”
“Group planners carry the weight of every trip on their shoulders. It’s finally their turn to take a vacation from planning,” she added.
Five Travel Planners Will Get a Switzerland Vacation
From now until August 31, 2026, Klook is searching for five travel planners to receive a seven-day hosted trip to Switzerland in December 2026.
The catch? There’s nothing to plan. The selected travel planners will simply have to show up and enjoy the experience while Klook takes care of the vacation.
To nominate a deserving planner, applicants are asked to share a story about a time when the person was the “glue” that held a trip together. This can include how they organized the itinerary, coordinated the group, handled unexpected problems, or even dealt with the hilariously chaotic moments that inevitably happen during group travel.
Applicants can also submit a 60-second video or a link from TikTok, YouTube, or Google Drive showing the travel planner in action.
That could mean legendary travel spreadsheets, chaotic group-chat screenshots, detailed itineraries, or the unforgettable moment when the planner somehow saved the entire trip while everyone else simply enjoyed the ride. The campaign gives travelers a chance to recognize the person who is usually working behind the scenes—and give them something they rarely get: a vacation where they don’t have to worry about the itinerary.
