Filipino arcade culture and P-pop fandom are coming together in one colorful, high-energy collaboration as Timezone Philippines welcomes XONARA as its newest brand ambassadors.
Timezone Philippines has officially named XONARA, the seven-member girl group under 1Z Entertainment, as its newest brand ambassadors in a one-year partnership that brings together music, fandom, gaming, and the nostalgic experience of growing up at the arcade. But this isn’t just a traditional celebrity endorsement. The partnership includes an exclusive Buy 250, Get 500 Timezone credits bonus on the Timezone Fun App using the code XONARA, as well as the release of official Timezone x XONARA photocards beginning August 25.
Yes, photocards — at an arcade.
For P-pop fans who are used to collecting, trading, and displaying photocards at concerts and fan events, the collaboration feels like a natural crossover between fandom culture and one of the country’s most familiar entertainment destinations. Under the hashtag #TimeXONARA, fans can also expect social media content, merchandise, and in-store activations throughout the year.
Raffy Prats Jr., General Manager of Timezone Philippines, said the partnership reflects the brand’s goal of creating experiences that bring people together.
“At Timezone, we’re always looking for new ways to bring people together through fun and create memorable experiences for our guests.”
Prats added that XONARA’s energy, connection with young audiences, and genuine appreciation for Timezone made the group a natural fit for the brand.
The partnership is designed to celebrate friendship, community, play, and the interests that bring fans together — whether that’s music, gaming, or simply spending time with friends. Perhaps the most fitting part of the collaboration is that Timezone isn’t a completely new world for the members of XONARA. Before Eurekah, Tin, Dominique, Ella, Namie, Lei, and Megumi became 1Z Entertainment’s first girl group, they were also kids enjoying arcade games with their families and friends. For Ella, becoming a Timezone ambassador feels particularly meaningful because of those childhood memories.
“Timezone is a place that so many of us grew up going to, so becoming one of its brand ambassadors feels really surreal.”
She said she hopes fans can create their own memories with XONARA at Timezone while enjoying the same sense of fun and togetherness she experienced growing up. Namie also described the partnership as a full-circle moment, saying it is an honor to work with a brand the members genuinely enjoyed when they were younger. The members’ individual Timezone memories make the collaboration even more relatable. Ella recalled spending hours trying to win plushies from the claw machines.
“Whenever I finally got one, I’d feel so proud.”
For her, Timezone wasn’t simply about playing arcade games. It was about spending quality time with family and friends and turning ordinary visits into memorable experiences. Namie, on the other hand, gravitated toward the karaoke booths. Naturally competitive, she remembers challenging friends to see who could achieve the highest score.
Even when she didn’t win, the experience was still a good time.
“Even if I lost, we’d all end up laughing, and those are the moments I remember most.”
The partnership arrives at an exciting point for XONARA, following the group’s debut and the recent release of its second single, “Pula.” As the group continues establishing its identity in the growing P-pop scene, the Timezone partnership gives fans another way to interact with the members beyond music releases and live performances. With exclusive photocards, app credits, social content, merchandise, and in-store activities planned throughout the one-year partnership, #TimeXONARA is set to turn Timezone branches into another destination where fans can celebrate their love for the group. For a generation that grew up playing arcade games and collecting photocards, the combination makes perfect sense.
XONARA may be the newest faces of Timezone Philippines, but in many ways, they’re coming home to the arcade.
