Ayala Malls Cinemas to Bring More Eyes to 2026 CinePanalo Film Festival

The Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival is expanding its reach in 2026 through a new partnership with Ayala Malls Cinemas, which will screen all of this year’s featured films in select cinemas across Metro Manila. The partnership marks a significant milestone for the festival as it enters its third edition, reinforcing Puregold’s commitment to making the 2026 CinePanalo the biggest and most accessible edition yet.

For the duration of the festival, moviegoers will have the opportunity to watch seven original full-length films and 20 student-made short films at six Ayala Malls locations: Market! Market! in Taguig, Trinoma and Fairview Terraces in Quezon City, Ayala Malls Feliz in Pasig, Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque, and Ayala Malls Circuit in Makati.

According to Puregold and Ayala Malls, the participating cinemas were strategically selected to give CinePanalo films the widest possible audience.

The locations in Taguig and Makati were chosen for their vibrant, culture-driven communities and their longstanding support for local artistry and independent cinema. Pasig, meanwhile, offers access to a diverse and growing community of moviegoers that reflects the wide range of Filipino stories featured in the festival. In Parañaque, Ayala Malls Manila Bay sits within a bustling mixed-use development known for entertainment and cultural activities. Meanwhile, the two Quezon City venues were selected for their strong creative communities and accessibility to students, young audiences, and families, helping CinePanalo connect with the next generation of Filipino storytellers and audiences.

“Partnering with Ayala Malls helps bring the 2026 CinePanalo to as many Filipinos as possible,” said Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold Senior Marketing Manager. “As the festival continues to grow, we truly value partnerships like this that stand by the cause of unleashing Filipino cinema’s untapped potential.”

For Ayala Malls, the partnership is a natural fit following the success of CinePanalo’s first two editions.

“CinePanalo’s advocacy greatly aligns with Ayala Malls’ vision and values. At its core, CinePanalo puts the Filipino audience first—highlighting stories that reflect their lives, dreams, and everyday victories,” said Yvette Roldan, Head of Ayala Malls’ Ancillary Business. “This resonates with our commitment to meaningful and culturally-relevant experiences at Ayala Malls Cinemas.”

Roldan also highlighted CinePanalo’s support for student and regional filmmakers, noting how the festival encourages collaboration, inclusivity, and a spirit of succeeding together within the local film community. The festival’s willingness to embrace different genres and fresh approaches to storytelling also reflects what Roldan sees as a shared commitment between Puregold and Ayala Malls to innovation, creative risk-taking, and giving new voices a platform.

Bringing Filipino Stories to a Wider Audience

Since its launch, Puregold CinePanalo has helped produce films that have gone beyond Philippine screens, with several works earning opportunities to be showcased or compete at film festivals in different parts of the world, including Asia, Europe, and Africa. The partnership with Ayala Malls gives these emerging filmmakers another important platform—this time allowing more Filipino audiences to experience their work on the big screen.

“As we celebrate the wins of our CinePanalo alums in film festivals across the globe, we are, of course, always brought back to the purpose of the CinePanalo, which is to tell true, Filipino stories,” Hayagan-Piedad said.

“That’s why it is important for us at Puregold that these stories reach the same people who inspire them.”

With Ayala Malls Cinemas joining the festival, more audiences will have the chance to discover the filmmakers, stories, and perspectives behind this year’s CinePanalo entries—bringing the festival’s panalo spirit closer to communities across Metro Manila.
