Philippines Secures 25 National Wins at Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026


The Philippines has earned 25 national wins at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026, with Filipino productions, performers, filmmakers, journalists, and creative teams recognized across television, film, streaming, documentary, animation, news, lifestyle, and entertainment categories.

The country’s winners include some of the biggest names and productions in Philippine entertainment, led by Vice Ganda, Nadine Lustre, Michael V., and Mon Confiado, as well as acclaimed Filipino titles such as The Silent Noise, Love, Siargao, Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence, and Kontrabida Academy.

The Philippines also picked up recognition in documentary and journalism, with GMA Public Affairs productions including The Atom Araullo Specials: Baby maker, Reporter’s Notebook: Saving Babies, Drawing on Water – The History of the West Philippine Sea, and One at Heart, Jessica Soho: Tacloban School Shooting among the national winners.

In film, Kontrabida Academy was named the Philippine winner for Best Feature Film, while Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo received the country’s Best Direction (Feature Film) recognition for I’m Perfect. Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence collected multiple honors, including Best Cinematography (Fiction), Best Editing, and Best Screenplay.

The Philippine winners also extend to streaming, with Love, Siargao winning both Best Actress in a Leading Role for Nadine Lustre and Best Original Production by a Streamer for Viu.
