ABS-CBN is set to unveil on Monday, August 17, the 10 songs that will compete to become the Philippines’ official entry to the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026. The songs will be released on music streaming platforms beginning 6 p.m. on August 17, giving Filipino music fans their first chance to hear the entries ahead of the country’s national selection.
The Philippine selection, dubbed “Pili, Pinas! Philippine Selection Night,” will take place on August 30 (Sunday), where one song will ultimately be chosen to represent the Philippines on the international stage. The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual international television music competition organized by the European Broadcasting Union. Its first-ever Asian edition is scheduled to take place on November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand, with ABS-CBN serving as the broadcast partner for the Philippines’ participation.
Meet the 10 Competing Songs
The 10 entries represent a diverse mix of Filipino musical styles, performers, and songwriters.
Among the contenders is “Between Bituin,” written by acclaimed songwriter Jungee Marcelo and performed by DNA.
Also competing is “Broken Beyond Repair,” written by Angelo Gonzales and performed by SAGA.
“Cheri(e)” is composed by Nar Cabico, who also performs the song alongside Elha Nympha, Esang de Torres, and Lance Reblando.
Meanwhile, Jason Dy and Sassa Dagdag will perform “Di ‘Yan (Red Flag),” with words and music by Jason Marvin Hernandez.
The lineup also includes “Good For You,” written by Hazel Faith and performed by Ryssi Avila, and “Make It Exist,” composed by Angelo Calucin and performed by AJAA.
Jungee Marcelo returns to the competition as one of the composers of “Mapadama,” which he co-wrote with Jeremy Glinoga. The song will be performed by JM dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano.
Completing the 10-song lineup are “Reason to Leave,” written by Stephen Tan and performed by KHIMO; “Round N’ Round,” composed by Julius James de Belen and John Michael Conchada and performed by Vvink and WRIVE Russu; and “Sobra-Sobra,” written by Nica del Rosario and Mat Olavides and performed by Carmelle.
