I had fun last week from one of my resto visits for this year. With so many new dining places to try, I found a new place that will surely be the next frontier in serving local cuisine and wait I haven’t mentioned CRISPY PATA yet! Welcome to Kuya J!
Kuya J is located at the Lower Ground of SM Megamall A, when you enter the place you will already feel at home. Believe me, we tried almost everything! From, Lumpia Presko, Kare-kare, Grilled Scallops, Crispy Catfish up to the famous crispy pata! (Photos below)
To give you a glimpse of what the nation is talking about Kuya J, watch this TV Commercial made for all Pinoy food lovers:
Together with some of my favorite blogger friends, we dine and enjoy the launch with the full of energy Sam Oh hosting the event.
Jericho Rosales was also there to entertain us as Kuya J launched him as the latest “bidang” endorser.
Jericho Rosales perfectly fits as Kuya J endorser. He echoes Kuya’s vision to Echo very much echoes a Kuya. He’s the type whom you can count on, wants to spend time with. He remain humble and to reach out, inspire, and touch as many people’s lives as he can through his exceptional talents. He mingles as we go through the night!
Echo really knows how to have fun. He made sure that we are enjoying the food, he even serves most of it on our table!
So what did he serve that night? Lets break it down!
For appetizers, we tried Grilled scallops, Lumpia Presko and Chorizo Dinamitas with Garlic Dip!
I tried a little bit of everything because I have prepared to taste everything that night! The next batch of plate served were Sizzling sisig with Egg (which is my favorite from now on!), they also served Crispy catfish and the sumptuous kare kare!
And for the much awaited Crispy Pata, Jericho even chopped our own slices of crispy, unique and unforgettable pata ever served in SM Megamall!
I can say that it was a night full of surprises as I didn’t expect Kuya J to be this awesomeee!
Oops wait; we also tried cool dessert such as Mango Pandan, Tablea Coffee Flan. They also served tablea drink!
Kuya J is not exactly a newbie in the restaurant business. Short background of the resto, it had its humble beginning as “Ang Kan-anan ni Kuya J,” along the streets of Cebu. But its undeniably delicious dishes paved the way for mouthwatering words of recommendation to quickly spread into every Cebuano’s palate. With that, Kuya J instantly became one of Cebu’s favorite restaurants. Pinoy na Pinoy, good, and not off-putting at all.
Mr. Winglip K. Chang, the president and chief executive officer of iKitchen Inc, is actually behind’s behind Kuya J, told us that the word KUYA, is like being at home, having someone who stand as the elder head, serving for the majority. Aside from that, Kuya J always puts into work his strong values such as matapat, malasakit, maaasahan, mapagmahal at maalalahanin. No wonder Kuya J is indeed one of the fastest rising Filipino restaurants in the Philippines.
Everyone can expect more from Kuya J, as he continues his plan of opening 50 Branches by the end of 2015. Kuya J, the Filipino casual dining restaurant, has branches in the following locations: Escario St. Cebu City; SM Cebu; SM Consolacion; SM Sta Mesa; SM Megamall, SM Fairview, SM San Mateo, SM Manila, SM San Lazaro, SM Dasmariñas, SM Pampanga, SM Clark and SM San Fernando Downtown; SM BF Paranaque; SM Marikina, SM Novaliches; SM Pasig and SM Bacolod
