Full Review: Fun and Stylish realme C33

As the holiday season approaches, I’m sure some of you have already completed your buying and partying. If you ask me, I’ve attended half of the party invitations and am currently planning this week’s constant meet up with friends. But there’s one thing I haven’t done this month: buy gifts for my loved ones. Fortunately, I was able to compile a list of the best present ideas for loved ones. Speaking of present ideas, I’d like to share my latest smartphone find with you. I’m referring to the realme C33, an entry-level smartphone with luxurious design and advanced technologies.

I have been teasing you about this on my IG stories for a week now and I can say that realme C33 delivers in a lot of ways and terms. Let’s take a look first of its beauty by unboxing it.

Inside the box (photo above): realme C33, Quick Start Guide, Warranty Card, SIM Ejector Pin, 10W Charger and Micro USB Cable. I was surprised that it didnt have a silicon case that is usually included but with this design aesthetic, you would love to hold it boldly in public. And yes, the cable is a micro USB cable.

DESIGN & DISPLAY

I actually like the Realme C33’s shiny back design. It is quite distinctively sketched to standout. It is lightweight and extremely thin. Plastic makes up the side panels, the rear panel, and the camera bump at the top. The phone has a 3.5mm audio connector. Additionally, the phone incorporates a Google Home button at the lower left of the screen.

Its back features a high-end polish. For protection against unintentional drops, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front.

Sometimes, I use smartphone to check on my favorite series. The 6.50-inch Full HD+ touchscreen display on the Realme C33 is enough to keep me glued. It has a pixel density of 270 pixels per inch and a resolution of (720 x 1600).

To some, it is lower but can still perform perfectly on an actual video display. And it is giving a screen-to-body ratio of 88.70%.

CAMERA PERFORMANCE

As a content creator who’s main focus is to tell stories through photos and videos, I like how realme C33 decided to bring in the 50MP AI Camera. Its also great when they put a lot of camera features in its settings. Some of them are: Bokeh Portrait, & Bokeh Flare Portrait. It also has High Resolution, Live Photo, Eye Autofocus, AR Stickers, Slo-Mo and Time-Lapse. Here I took some inside the fridge to check if it really brightens the photos. It did!

For some more professional approach, you can opt to use its Night Mode and Ultra-Wide Night. Though right now, I am recording through 4K shots, I still like how it supports up to 1080P/30fps video recording.

It also comes with a CHDR Algorithm which provides clearer backlight shots giving images its sharp, detailed, and defined quality. Though I’d like to think some of my shots were highly saturated, it still delivers when it comes to sharpness and bokeh effect.

For those who loves taking selfie, it has a 5MP Selfie Camera that makes it perfect for good quality selfie photos and videos.

PERFORMANCE

As the smartphone market becomes aggressively competitive, I like to highlight the realme C33 performance. For its price point, it impresses me with unique processor. realme C33 is powered by a Unisoc T612 Processor which has a 12nm octa-core processor. Not to be techy about it but this is enough to bring you closer to a smooth app transition.

Additionally It houses two Cortex-A75 cores that clock at up to 1.82GHz for a smooth operating experience between one task to another.

I am not a gamer but I’m sure those who love playing will appreciate the realme C33 Mali-G57 GPU that is standard for awesome gaming performance. Moreover, the realme C33 can last throughout the day even for heavy smartphone users since it is equipped with a 5000mAh Massive Battery. It has a micro USB cable.

PRICE

realme C33 is available in 3 colors: Aqua Blue, Night Sea and Sandy Gold color! Currently it is being offered for a price of PHP7,499!

Overall, realme C33 still deliver given it falls under the midrange category. Though I kind of expected a Type-C capable phone for C series, it is still a good choice given a 10-watt charger on the box. Perfect as gift for your love ones~!
