As I approach a significant 13-year milestone with Globe this year, I’ve found myself reflecting on a journey that has evolved from simple tech reviews to a deep-rooted commitment to social impact. For over a decade, my small role has transitioned from a brand advocate to a hands-on volunteer within the Globe of Good ecosystem, and it has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career as a creator.
When they asked me to speak and share my volunteer experience at the Globe of Good Storytellers’ Night, I didn’t have to think twice—I said yes immediately. Being asked to share before my peers and partners to recount my journey with was a deeply humbling moment. As a content creator, we often measure success in views and engagement, but being recognized as a storyteller for social impact is easily one of my proudest milestones. It was a rare and beautiful opportunity to prove that our platforms can serve a purpose far greater than ourselves, turning digital influence into a heartbeat for real-world change.
My most recent journey as a volunteer has been defined by moments of real-world action. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of being on the front lines of some of the country’s most impactful programs:
2024: Fighting Hunger with the Hapag Movement. I joined forces with the Hapag Movement, a flagship initiative in partnership with the UN World Food Programme (WFP) and the DSWD. Seeing firsthand how digital solutions can bridge the gap to grassroots feeding programs for families experiencing involuntary hunger was a turning point for me. It wasn’t just about a hashtag; it was about putting food on tables.
2025: GDay and Save the Children During the GDay celebrations last year, I spent my “91.7 Minutes of Globe of Good” kitting and packing essential supplies for Save the Children. We worked to ensure that hygiene and relief kits were ready for distribution to vulnerable youth in disaster-prone areas, proving that collective effort can lead to immediate relief.
Driven by ‘Brand Love’ and Global Sustainability
People often ask why I’ve remained a loyal “Ka-Globe” for thirteen years. For me, the answer is simple: Brand Love. But that love is rooted in an alignment of values.
Partnering with an organization that is recognized globally for its impact empowers me as a creator. Knowing that Globe is the only Philippine telco recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies gives me the confidence that the projects I support are creating real, measurable change. This recognition in the 2025 TIME/Statista list for excellence in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices is a primary motivator for my continued advocacy.
What started in 2013 as a tech-lifestyle collaboration has evolved into a purpose-driven alliance. As I look toward my 13th anniversary this year, I am more committed than ever to using my platform to prove that the digital space is a powerful tool for social good. Thank you, Globe, for the Storytellers’ Night, as this became a venue not only for our get-together but also to validate and share our common interests.
Here I am with fellow Globe Corp Comm Champions and fellow Globe of Good ambassadors. (From Left to Right: Timothy Bato, Paula Jalosjos, me, AI Cruz, Chuckie Dreyfus, Chito Mañago and Nadia Valeza)
Every small act—whether it’s packing a kit, donating rewards points, or sharing a story—contributes to a larger #GlobeOfGood. I look forward to inspiring more of my fellow Ka-Globes to join me in this mission as we start this next chapter together.
