Senator Bam Aquino has hailed five Filipino dance crews for their outstanding performances at the 2026 World Hip Hop Dance Championship, celebrating their victories as another showcase of Filipino talent and creativity on the global stage. Held from July 25 to August 1, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, the international competition was organized by Hip Hop International, bringing together dance crews from around the world.
Aquino filed Senate Resolution No. 591 congratulating and commending Femme MNL, HQ, The Crew, Folk Jumpers, and Sayawatha Jr. for their impressive performances and medal-winning finishes. Among the biggest highlights for the Philippine delegation was Femme MNL, which emerged as champion in the Megacrew Division.
The Philippines also secured the top spot in the Adult Division, with HQ taking the championship title. Adding to the country’s impressive medal haul, The Crew captured the silver medal in the Megacrew Division, resulting in a remarkable 1-2 finish for the Philippines alongside Femme MNL.
Meanwhile, Folk Jumpers earned a bronze medal in the Adult Division, while Sayawatha Jr. also brought home bronze in the Junior Division.
The results highlighted the depth of Filipino talent across different age groups and competitive divisions. Beyond the five medal-winning crews, several other Filipino teams represented the Philippines in various divisions of the international competition. They included A-Kidz, Sayawatha, NDDU Generals, A-Gyalz, A-Boiz, and UNRVLD. Their participation further demonstrated the creativity, artistry, discipline, and sportsmanship of Filipino dancers competing against some of the world’s best.
For Aquino, the performances reflect the Philippines’ growing presence and influence within the international dance community.

Bam said.
Senate Resolution No. 591 also recognized that the achievements of Filipino dancers are made possible by an extensive support system.
Aquino acknowledged the contributions of coaches, choreographers, mentors, families, dance organizations, and supporters who help nurture Filipino dancers and prepare them to compete at the highest levels. The senator emphasized that the accomplishments of the dance crews go beyond medals and competition results.
“These accomplishments inspire young Filipinos to pursue excellence in the performing arts and reaffirm the importance of supporting dance as a platform for creativity, cultural expression, and talent development,” he said.

Aquino filed Senate Resolution No. 545 congratulating SB19 following the group’s performance at Lollapalooza on July 30, 2026, at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. Lollapalooza is one of the world’s major annual music festivals. He likewise filed Senate Resolution No. 370 honoring BINI for their historic appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. The group became the first all-Filipino group to perform at the globally renowned festival.
Supporting the country’s creative economy forms part of Aquino’s five-point agenda as chairperson of the Senate Committee on Trade, Commerce, and Entrepreneurship. His agenda includes expanding opportunities for Filipino artists, creators, filmmakers, designers, and other creative professionals to compete and succeed in international markets.
