Realme C63 Review: A Budget-Friendly Student and Creator’s Bud

Still my birthday month and while it’s been raining for the past days, I’m always on the lookout for time to shoot and write stories, including searching for good gadgets that delivers impressive performance without breaking the bank. Last time I found a super high speed yet affordable portable fan on Tiktok! Blown me away! When it comes to budget-friendly smartphones, I’ve been particularly drawn to realme smartphones for their ability to offer high-quality features at affordable prices. The realme C63 is no different.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this device, and it has exceeded my expectations. It’s truly a smartphone that delivers more than its price tag suggests, making it a compelling option for anyone, especially those on a budget.

I did an unboxing blog of the realme C63 and you can read it here: realme c63 Unboxing.

The look of realme C63 has a clean, modern appearance that seems surprisingly quality for the price. I personally like its back texture. The smooth corners and slender contour give it a modern appearance. It actually matches my bags recently at some events. It is soft and the construction seems substantial and sturdy. It’s pleasant to handle and does not feel cheap at all.

Performance: A Surprising Package

Powered by the Unisoc Tiger T612, the realme C63 handles daily tasks and light gaming with ease. The 90Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and animations smoother, enhancing the overall user experience. While it’s not a gaming powerhouse, it can handle casual games without any major issues. For me 90Hz is ok despite me shifting from one social media platform to another a lot of times daily.

The realme C63’s 50MP main camera takes decent images in good lighting settings. I took some shots of the flowers on our terrace, and the colors are more on natural, with plenty of detail.

Low-light performance is average, but with a little post-processing magic, you can still get decent results. The portrait mode does a good job of separating the subject and background. While it will not replace a specialized camera for professional projects, it is more than adequate for casual photography and social media material.

You can still enjoy your favorite videos as it has an HD+ 720 x 1600 resolution. Though not as sharp as detailed compared to those that has a full HD display. But nevertheless it is a decent phone to watch videos.

Battery Life: A Day’s Work and More

The 5000mAh battery is a standout feature. With moderate usage, I can easily get through a full day without reaching for the charger. And when it’s time to recharge, the 45W SUPERVOOC charging technology gets you back up and running in no time.

With an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, you’re guaranteed protection from splashes and light rain.

The realme C63 is a solid choice for content creators on a budget. Or if you are student wanting to experience more with an affordable price range.
