(FOOD) My New Favorite: MILLIE’s Restaurant, Dishes of Travelers at Microtel MOA!

Last week I had another gastronomic activity with fellow bloggers, John, Myke and Alex. At first  I was anxious to come since its been awhile since I do food trippin but good thing I did! ” Let me introduce you the ever famous MILLIE’s RESTAURANT at Microtel Mall of Asia.

The place is cozy and private. Personally, I’d like to invite my family and friends for a fine dining, away from maddening crowd and noise yet still giving me the same touch of comfort and cuisine. We also met Chef Gino Santayana who has a variety of experience shared in different dishes that night.

Some of us, wants to try cuisines of different regions and selections but let me tell you that MILLIE’s takes one around the world. From European to Asian to anything western. But of course Filipino Menu is the star among the dishes. by the time we eat I almost forgot which one is for the appetizer and our main crouse haha considering everything was served perfectly and I got confused which one to taste first.

Take for example this very delicious Bistek Tagalog. I love the (Angus beef) served with rice.

GREEK SALAD (Im a big fan of Salad thats why I think  i had a lot of these that night)

  SEAFOOD MARINARA

( I love how the taste of shrimp was incorporated to it)

Pan-seared Salmon in Lemon Sauce.

( Oh I love salmon too! Gave me an idea to always pair it with just mashed potato)

Chicken Parmigiana with Aglio Olio

(There are too much pasta served but this one is a PRO!)

Osso Bucco

( The Marrow attack! Everyone seems so concious about the fat content or whatever is inside it but hey, I did!

One of the best!

Baby Back Ribs

( I dont know how many restos and places I had my back ribs but this one from MILLIES is worth my money.

The place is actually homey. After everything above, I feel like I wanted to ask for a wine and chill. The ambiance and music will make you feel home. A comfortable atmostphere that will ask you to come again.  Then after some few talks, they serves us the pride of their desserts department.

Panacotta with Mango Coolie

( I cannot explain how homey the taste was but this is really worth a try! I wouldnt mind going back to microtel just to order this one. The taste of sweet mango fights with it in your mouth )

TIRAMISU ( But this is more lovely! I can taste the wine from within. Perfect!)

The entire night was indeed memorable. Food has never been that awesome. The concept of the restaurant is simple but sweet but will tour you around the world. Millie’s Resto also has a complete beverage selection of coffee and tea, juices and specialty cocktails. The service is just fine. I love how attentive they were during our time.  Millies Restaurant is meant to be aplace for all travelers who, like Millie appreciate the destination and the journey. The Restaurant was named after a woman who enjoyed travel. A Filipina with style and sophistication.
