The battle between ambition and justice is far from over as Made in Korea Season 2 officially arrives on Disney+ this September 9, bringing back Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung for another gripping chapter of one of Korea’s biggest original series.
Following the success of its acclaimed first season, the action-packed thriller returns with even higher stakes as old enemies reunite after nearly a decade, setting the stage for an intense showdown fueled by revenge, power, and betrayal.
Nine Years Later, the Hunt Begins Again
Season 2 picks up nine years after the shocking events of the first installment.
Baek Kitae, played by Hyun Bin (Crash Landing on You, Confidential Assignment), has solidified his position as the Deputy Director of the Korean CIA (KCIA). Having successfully framed prosecutor Jang Geonyoung years earlier, Kitae continues expanding his influence, wealth, and underground drug empire across the region.
But while Kitae enjoys unprecedented power, the man he betrayed has never stopped planning his return.
Jang Geonyoung, portrayed by Jung Woo-sung (12.12: The Day, Hunt), finally emerges from the shadows after spending nine years plotting his revenge. As political unrest and public discontent continue to spread, Geonyoung prepares to dismantle everything Kitae has built.
With both men determined to eliminate one another, the new season promises a relentless battle where every alliance is tested, every rule is broken, and no one is safe.
Familiar Faces Return
Joining Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung is Woo Do-hwan (Bloodhounds, Mr. Plankton), who reprises his role as Baek Kihyun, Kitae’s younger brother.
Behind the scenes, the creative team also returns to continue the story.
Season 2 is once again written by Park Eunkyo (The Silent Sea, Mother), directed by Woo Minho (Inside Men, The Man Standing Next), and produced by Hive Media Corp, the studio behind several critically acclaimed Korean films and dramas.
Premiere Schedule
Made in Korea Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Disney+ with a two-episode launch on September 9.
After the premiere, two new episodes will be released every Wednesday, concluding the season on September 23.

The second season follows the tremendous success of Made in Korea Season 1, which became the most-viewed Korean Original premiere on Disney+ in the Asia-Pacific region in 2025, based on its first 28 days of streaming.
The first season introduced audiences to Baek Kitae, a brilliant KCIA agent living a dangerous double life. By day, he served the government; by night, he operated an extensive smuggling network that fueled both his personal ambitions and the agency’s secret operations.
As Kitae climbed the ranks through manipulation, corruption, and calculated violence, only one person stood firmly against him—prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, whose unwavering commitment to justice made him impossible to bribe or intimidate.
Their conflict ultimately changed both of their lives, laying the groundwork for the explosive confrontation that unfolds in Season 2.
