Samsung Electronics today announced the Galaxy Z Fold7, the latest iteration in its foldable smartphone series, setting a new benchmark for design, camera technology, and AI integration. This device is the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Z Fold model to date, offering the premium performance of an ultra-smartphone while enhancing productivity with a larger, more immersive unfolded display. It features the new One UI 8, seamlessly integrating intelligent AI features optimized for the foldable form factor.

- Design: At just 215 grams and 8.9 mm thin (folded), it’s lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
- Displays: It boasts a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x cover display with a wider 21:9 aspect ratio, and an expansive 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x main display (11% larger than its predecessor) for enhanced multitasking and viewing. Both screens offer vibrant visuals with up to 2,600 nits peak brightness.
- Durability: Built with a restructured Armor FlexHinge, Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2 on the cover display, and Advanced Armor Aluminum for the frame, the Z Fold7 is designed for increased strength and longevity. The main display also features a stronger, thicker Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG).
- Performance: Powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite for Galaxy, this customized processor delivers significant boosts (41% NPU, 38% CPU, 26% GPU) for faster and more seamless on-device AI processing tasks like real-time translation and Generative Edits.
Unprecedented Camera and AI Capabilities
The Galaxy Z Fold7 brings a pro-grade camera experience to foldables, complemented by intelligent AI tools.
- Camera System: Features the first 200MP wide-angle camera in the Galaxy Z series, capturing exceptional detail and brightness. It also includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The 10MP 100° front camera on the main display is ideal for group selfies.

Future-Ready Security and Availability
Samsung has reinforced its security measures with Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) for on-device AI and enhanced Knox Matrix for cross-device protection. Additionally, post-quantum cryptography is integrated into Secure Wi-Fi.
