The Tambuli Awards, a body that recognizes excellence in marketing campaigns and sustainability programs of brands and businesses, honored Century Pacific Food Inc. for “Sustenido Bulan,” a program that helps small-town fishermen in Bulan, Sorsogon.
The Tambuli Awards bestowed on Century Pacific Food Inc. a Gold for Inclusive Growth and Silver for Care for the Environment. The Sustenido Bulan program produced the following results: a 10 percent decrease in fish rejection rate, the creation of 850 jobs, and increased income for 200+ fishermen. Partners included the local government of Bulan, Sorsogon, and the Bureau of Fisheries. Together with stakeholders, Century Pacific Food Inc. advocates for responsible and sustainable fishing and quality food for all Filipinos.
