If my memory serves me correctly, my last visit to Hong Kong was a decade ago! Since then, I’ve been preparing to return to two of my favorite spots. As that was my first time traveling abroad with friends, these two stood out in my journal. Among the most unforgettable sights I experienced were Ngong Ping Village and Disneyland Hong Kong, which is, of course, the happiest place on earth! So this year, I promised to revisit again, and I did!
Ngong Ping Village
I brought up Ngong Ping Village because it is a site of incredible scenery, spirituality, and culture. You can travel there via bus or the well-known Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car. The journey to the village up there is quite breathtaking, so I advise you to choose the latter route! Beautiful aerial views of Tung Chung Bay, the South China Sea, and the neighboring islands may be seen from the Ngong Ping 360 cable car.
Select between the Crystal Cabin, which offers panoramic glass-bottom views for an even more breathtaking experience, and the basic cabin.
We reserve this using KLOOK!
Many cultural events are held at Ngong Ping Village all year long, such as calligraphy demonstrations, tea ceremonies, and traditional Chinese dance performances. These events offer a special chance to get a personal look at Chinese customs and culture. While we were happy to reach the summit and surround ourselves with Buddhists who were praying at the moment, we did miss a few of them. We’re delighted we used KLOOK again, as there’s a dedicated VIP line for customers who bought via the app or website! We are fortunate!
Disneyland, Hong Kong
A lovely location where dreams come true is Hong Kong Disneyland. You can enter a realm of wonder and thrill there and get away from the daily grind. Disneyland offers a plethora of experiences for individuals of all ages. I really should go back as an adult who enjoys Disneyland to keep up with the new experiences.
When it comes to fresh experiences, Hong Kong Disneyland did not let us down—there’s always something new to see and do there. New events, parades, and attractions are added to the park on a regular basis. The Wasp: Nano Battle, Ant-Man, and the Iron Man Experience are among the new attractions that the park has added in recent years! as well as Mystic Manor.

Of course, we planned to see everything, so I guess we got to see everything! The Iron Man Experience is a thrilling roller coaster that will take you on a high-speed ride through Hong Kong’s streets. Nano Battle in Ant-Man and the Wasp! is a four-dimensional interactive experience that immerses you in the middle of a battle between Ant-Man and The Wasp and their adversaries. Mystic Manor is a haunted house that takes you on a terrifying tour of a haunted estate.
Of course, no vacation to Hong Kong Disneyland would be complete unless you rode some of the park’s famous rides. Space Mountain is one of them. This exhilarating roller coaster transports you on a high-speed journey through space. I couldn’t stop laughing due of the plot’s twists and turns. Finally, we have a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed boat ride that takes you on an excursion through the universe of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Throughout the year, Hong Kong Disneyland conducts a number of special events, such as Halloween and Christmas. We saw The Lion King musical, and it was one of the best shows we’ve ever seen!
Both Ngong Ping and Hong Kong Disneyland are located just a short train ride from the city center, making it easy to get to the park. We took the train going to both locations. And it is really worth it, especially when you book it via KLOOK.
So, what are you waiting for? Start planning your trip back to Hong Kong as soon as possible!
