2020 has been a challenging year for consumer market given the pandemic but the interesting twist is that this year gave an opportunity to tech companies to level up their game. With the tremendous increase in demands on computers for online work from home to virtual classes and meetings, ASUS Philippines accepted the challenge and provided its patrons the best laptops of 2020 in the market. Oh by the way, I have been stanning ASUS releases since forever I guess?
I witnessed how ASUS Philippines surprised the market this year with its occasional release of groundbreaking laptops with highlighted specs and styles. No wonder theirs competed with reasonable laptop price of 2020. Let’s have a rundown of what ASUS Philippines released this year, including my choice of the Best Laptop of 2020.
ASUS ExpertBook B9 (Released June 2020)
If there’s one laptop I suggested to my bosses early this year, it is to take a look at the the world’s lightest 14 inch business laptop from ASUS, the ASUS ExpertBook B9. Release last June 2020, I think this is the answer to very business professionals dream of having. With up to 10th generation Intel Core processor, you can fully multi-task without worrying about rendering heavy video memories. It has dual-storage design with two ultrafast 2TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs, and up to 16GB of RAM next-gen connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). Of course the price range is for business and corporation but remain reasonable considering its performance.
ASUS VivoBook S14 (AMD Ryzen Processor, May 2020)
When ASUS released this, I already fell in love with its thin-bezel NanoEdge FHD display. Perfect for immersive visuals with wide viewing angles and exceptional color that gives you a breathtaking entertainment viewing experience and color accuracy for flawless content creation. Plus given that it is powered by up to an AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700U Mobile Processor with 8GB RAM, the compact VivoBook S14 (M433) is a steal. Price range 39,995 to 44,995. Simultaneously, ASUS released this with the latest MyASUS software called Link to MyASUS, which seamlessly integrates your workflow between laptops and your mobile devices. If you had this last May, goodjob!
ASUS VivoBook S15 (Released July 2020)
I love when ASUS played with vibrant color when they released VivoBook S14 and S15 last July. But what gave me away is its textured metal chassis with diamond-cut edges, unique colors, and color-blocking Enter key. Targeting the young and energetic as I am (wow), these releases are indeed very millennial bias. But of course, it is backed by an impressive specs such as NVIDIA GeForce MX350 feature. This is actually making all your work 2.5x faster (especially if you are working on video editing). And did I mention its processor, well colorful and powerful with Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor and IntelCore i5-1135G7 processor.
Personal Bias
Okay suffice it to say that ASUS really knows the market and understand the demand of competitive world of innovation that is why it is hard to choose among the laptops they release were the best laptop of 2020. I’m sure you guys already have an idea because I even vlog about em. So here we go!
ASUS ZenBook 13 powered by 11th Intel
ASUS Zenbook has always been my favorite but this time, to finally see the world’s thinnest 13-inch laptio with full I/O Ports, we are definitely up for a treat! As a blogger and finance person at the same time, I personally the ASUS NumberPad 2.0, a dual-function touchpad with an integrated LED-illuminated numeric keypad. And the real takeaway, aside from its four-sided frameless NanoEdge design with 88% screen-to-body ratio is the Intel Iris Xe Graphics! For starters, Iris Xe is the term for the new integrated graphics that will be built into the upper tier of the company’s 11th generation laptop chips so imagine the performance of this thinnest 13″ laptop.
Here is the impressive specs of ASUS Zenbook 13.
ASUS VivoBook S14 powered by 11th Gen Intel
Ofcourse, the ASUS VivoBook S14 (S433) one of the world’s smallest 14” colorful ultrabooks. This is available in two variants. Gladly, Intel introduced Iris Xe will be included in the Core i5 and i7 processors in this new fleet.
