Tagaytay is indeed one of the best places to escape from the busy Metro. It is one of the most accessible locations to visit and unwind. In fact, this is the best alternative if one wants to get away easily. I myself have been there so many times, especially during the later part of the year when it is too cold. This is also where we went when we breakout my car early of 2014.
While it is true that there are too many options in this area, staying at one of the prime properties there should also be on your bucket list. Gladly, I was able to experience it with my blogger friends last quarter. We visited the famous highlands in this country, the Tagaytay Highlands, where everyone is dreaming of staying. To be able to see the most distinct panoramic views of Taal Lake and Volcano, Mt. Makiling, the Canlubang Valley, and Laguna de Bay, is an understatement. The experience is unforgettable.
Tagaytay Highlands is one of the biggest, most modernized, and most well-developed properties residing in the heart of Tagaytay City, overlooking the most beautiful views in the area. We were able to tour, if not the entire property, at least a rewinding zone to relax and unwind. For starters, Tagaytay Highlands houses the best of residential subdivisions, country clubs, spas & lodges, and even a very clean animal farm. I will have a separate blog about these residential areas, but for now, I would love to share with you our experience with the place. We arrived early at the place, and they welcomed us with a sumptuous breakfast!
Soon as we finished our breakfast we went straight ahead to Tagaytay Highlands’ Animal Farm. But in order for you to go to the other area of what I call ‘Heaven of the south’, Tagaytay Highlands build its own cable car.
Aside from getting from one place to another, Cable car gives us the chance to see that scenic view of the properties.
The Animal Farm of Tagaytay Highlands is a well-maintained sanctuary for live animals. We were able to talk to the guy who personally manage the farm and he shared that sanitation is very important since the majority of the animals came from different parts of the world. I myself attested to the kind of environment they are maintaining here. You can actually interact with the animals here!
I have to give it to Tagaytay Highlands for keeping the Animal Farm extra clean considering the numbers of animals the maintained. Here are some of them.
After that sweet tour to Animal Farm, we had our sumptuous lunch at CHINA PALACE where we were served unimaginable amount of Chinese cuisine.
We also got the chance to ride on ATBs too wit my friends Alex, Ryan and Myke.
Then we straight ahead to our accommodation at The spa and Lodge. This is also where the spa rooms are located. I feel so relax at the ambiance considering the view and smell of the place. It is indeed Tagaytay Experience one should experience.
Of course I took the signature massage at the spa and it was really good! I fell asleep during the entire massage and I would love to repeat it again!
The next day we were up for a swim and it didn’t disappoint. As a traveler, I prefer hotels and staycation with swimming pool amenities because this is one of the things I look forward everytime I go on tour and travel, to swim with friends.
we visited The Highlander Steak House along the Belle View Drive. I ordered Norweigan Salmon Steak served with Madagascar peppercorn sauce. I got the chance to taste famous babyback ribs and Oh men! One of the best launcheon we had for quite sometime. Highlander Steak House is Highlands’ must dine resto.
Its beens now since we visited the Highlands and it feels like it is just last week. It is indeed a wonderful experience and with so many things to do inside, a day is not enough but worth visiting!
