They say that If you love to travel outside the country you will likely have at least one international dish to love. It is either you start to appreciate their culture or fall in love with their traditions. But how can we resist our own dishes? Its unique Asian taste that even foreigners would love to imitate. No wonder why Filipino Restaurants here remain the most sought place to dine in.
Case in point my recent visit to the elegant Legend Villas. It was a sort of reunion with fellow online influencers and unanimously agreed to meet at lunch. Legend Villas houses the famous LOLA MARIA, a classic Filipino restaurant that serves unanimously awesome “Lutong pinoy” (Filipino homes dishes).
Legend Villas is located near Robinsons Pioneer in Boni, actually a few meters away from the mall crossing Madison street.
It was actually my first time to visit Legend Villas and I already admired its typical old house-inspired design. Traditional yet modern. We were ushered right straight to LOLA MARIA. Upon seeing the buffet I heard my tummy dance for joy as I can visualize that distinct delicious food just standing from the door.
I don’t like spicy food but Lola Maria’s Bopis, a delicious dish made from minced pig’s lungs and heart is enough for me to say “Heaven”. I personally loved this one!
There is also chicken pastel (photo below) which I find it hard to slice because of its presentation 🙂
We actually tried everything! Fresh Lumpiang Hubad, Pancit Canton, Lechon Paksiw. They also have Crispy Kangkong as well as the Fish Pinipig. I noticed that they also have Seaweed (Lato) Salad with bagoong sauce, something people from the south love to serve.
But of course, our favorite Halo halo is present after that full meal! I would say that Lola Maria is worth our time. Cozy and privy, that should be your lunch meeting with friend should look!
And don’t you just love SWEETS? Leche Plan gave me away!
Hotel breakfast is also one of the considerations in choosing where to stay. Thank God Legend Village is a complete package for everything I am looking for!
And oh wait, we went outside and amazed by the architectural designs of the hotel. Well I know that these are kind of hard to maintain yet The Legend Villas able to keep it as if it was build recently. I already selected the date next month to an overnight stay there!
