Vhong Navarro made an emotional return to ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” last Saturday (Mar 8), thanking the noontime program’s loyal ‘madlang people’ for their prayers and support, over a month after his brutal mauling incident in January.
Many viewers nationwide tuned in to his return that “It’s Showtime” recorded a national TV rating of 20.3%, compared to rival program “Eat Bulaga” (12.6%), according to data from Kantar Media.
Netizens also warmly welcomed Vhong back as they posted their thoughts on social networking sites. On Twitter, the hashtag #WelcomeBackVhongNavarro landed on the list of worldwide trending topics.
“I want to personally thank all of you for defending me, believing in me, and praying for me,” a tearful Vhong said. “You are the reason why I remain strong, why I’m here in front of you now, and why I love working. I love making people happy,” he added.
This week in “It’s Showtime,” the Twitter-trending “Stars on 45” has begun trimming down its 27 middle-aged semi-finalists who will compete by crooning classic and contemporary hit tracks. They have proven that it is not too late for them to shine, but who among them will prove to be the hottest and the brightest?

But sorry, u cant.
