Honestly, Im not as enthusiastic as before when the 11th season of AMERICAN IDOL aired on TV. Until one Filipina-American made it to the TOP 11. From 25 semi-finalists (12 girls, 13 guys), 5 girls and 5 boys were chosen as finalists based on the 33 million combined votes from the televiewers last Wednesday and Thursday.
To complete the Top 13, the judges picked 3 from 6 wild cards who performed during the results show.

Jessica Sanchez sang “Love You I Do” by Jennifer Hudson. I think she picked the right song to get away with that no-holds-barred approach and for a 16 year old, she sings with maturity and technical skills. BIAS? I think I am.
