Spurred by the popularity and success of two earlier campaigns, Yahoo! The premier digital media company together with co-presenter Globe Telecom, announced the launch of Yahoo’s Purple Hunt 3.0 Family Edition today October 3 at the Laureano Di Trevi showroom where media and bloggers as well as different sponsors graced the event.

The 4 week long online adventure aims to bring the whole family together to explore the web, discover the various yahoo properties and spend quality time bonding. This game is guided by three values: pledge together, surf together and play together.
Any family consisting of at least one parent and one child can join. And in order to participate in the treasure hunt, there are three simple steps to follow: 1st is to sign up, then create a team and taking the Yahoo! Safely pledge. You can sign up here at the Purple Hunt Family Edition at http://purplehunt.com.ph. Then register the rest of the family’s existing Yahoo! Mail accounts and identify the role of each member (e.g. father, son, etc.). You have to decide too whether who will be the main player for the Purple Hunt 3.0 Family Edition. After that you have to create a team name for your family. Then pledge to Yahoo! Safely. Once the family makes the pledge, a mail will be sent to the primary player i.e. parent with a link to unlock the first task.
This event is co-presented by Globe Telecom. In partnership with Vista Land, Airphil Express, McDonalds, MyPhone, and SM North Edsa and the media partners are GMA Network, Magic 89.9, and Fox International Channels (Fox, Star World, Star Movies, Fox Family Movies, Fox Crime, FX, tvN, National Geographic, Channel V). They will also be helping in revealing the clues at various times in the day.

Each sponsor will have special assignments that participants can complete. With each special assignment, participants get the chance to win instant prizes.
