David Seville and chipmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore, return in the sequel to lay waste to Seville’s surroundings and sing in three-part harmony. The new movie will introduce the Chipmunks’ female counterparts the Chipettes – Alvin, Simon and Theodore will compete against The Chipettes in the $100,000 Battle of the Bands.
Directed by Betty Thomas, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel which stars Jason Lee, Cameron Richardson, David Cross, Justin Long, Zachary Levi, Jesse McCartney and Matthew Gray Gubler is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2009
