After that anticipation last year on who will play the much coveted role of Mar’s Ravelo’s DARNA, Star Cinema finally starts the roll call for the project. Angel Locsin shares her excitement about the upcoming Movie version and how Star Cinema will make this movie project a huge one- something that no one will forget.

“Ako kasi si Darna, feeling ko talaga eh. Kahit hindi ibigay ulit sa akin ang bato, part na siya ng pagkatao ko, yung magkaroon ako ng opportunity at nagawa ko naman nang maayos ‘yung duty ko bilang si Darna, malaking bagay na ‘yun sa akin. Pero kung magbabalik ako, okay lang,” Angel shares.
In an interview with the Director Erik Matti in ABSCBN Europe, he also shares his excitement about making this movie. “That’s why I wanted to be part of it. To somehow do a take on it and reimagine the whole superhero story, We’re trying to push what we can do with a superhero film,” he explained. “There’s definitely a lot of heart in it, but at the same time we’re going to employ a lot of technology, pushing all the things we know about how to let Darna fly and all those things”
