HBO Max Dominates 2026 Emmy Awards Race with 122 Nominations Across 21 Original Programs
HBO Max continues its awards-season dominance after receiving an impressive 122 Emmy® nominations across 21 original HBO and Max productions for the upcoming 78th Primetime Emmy® Awards.
Leading this year’s nominations are the critically acclaimed drama The Pitt with 26 nominations and the hit comedy Hacks with 25 nominations, underscoring HBO Max’s strength in both drama and comedy.

The Max Original medical drama emerged as HBO Max’s most nominated series this year, earning recognition in major categories including:

- Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series
- Multiple Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, and Guest Performer nominations

Abbott Elementary earned nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, while creator and star Quinta Brunson received recognition for both Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
Shrinking was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, with acting nominations for Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, and Michael Urie.
