9 Things To Do In Bangkok Thailand This 2024

I’m sure a lot of you are looking forward to fully going back to normal in terms of travel in the coming months. Personally,  I wanted to go back too Tokyo and Bangkok, two of my favorite places in the world. Thank God there are always these great deals from AirAsia. Fast forward to last month; we were fortunate to see Bangkok in all its beauty and craziness in a week, so let’s jump ahead.

I am aware that most of you have either visited Bangkok or plan to do so soon. Thus, this time I’ll limit my advice to suggestions for things to do in Bangkok so as not to overbook your week. So here are the 9 Things to Do in Bangkok, Thailand.

Don Mueng International via AirAsia

I finally found a good way to visit Bangkok while availing of the best price for flights. The key? Choosing a less-busy airport, Don Mueng International Airport via AirAsia. One of the reasons why Don Mueng International exists is its location. It is located just 24 kilometers from the city center, which makes it a convenient option for travelers who want to explore Bangkok. In addition, the airport is well connected to public transportation, including buses, taxis, and trains. I personally chose AirAsia because it offers some of the lowest airfares in the region. Air Asia operates a modern fleet of aircraft, and these planes are equipped with the latest technology and amenities to ensure a comfortable flying experience.

Lastly, with its newly developed Super App, AirAsia offers an easy and convenient online booking system that allows passengers to book their flights, select their seats, and manage their bookings easily.

Stay near the shopping center in Bangkok

Bangkok is a tourist spot where there’s plenty of hotel accommodation options. But I’m sure shopping is one good reason why you’re visiting the city. So I suggest you choose the Pratunam area. And one of the best accommodations there is the Centara Watergate Pavilion Hotel. Literally situated at the heart of Pratunam.

The Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel is a contemporary and trendy hotel and has pleasant and well-appointed rooms with all of the required conveniences.

The hotel also has a rooftop pool and bar, a fitness center, and a spa, making it an excellent choice for visitors wishing to unwind after a long day of sightseeing or business meetings. With various shops and marketplaces within walking distance, the hotel’s central location makes it an ideal alternative for guests wishing to experience Bangkok’s famous shopping districts.

Here is my hotel review for the Centara Watergate Pavilion Hotel, I am telling you that this is an excellent choice for guests seeking a comfortable Bangkok stay.

Safari World in Bangkok

I was very glad to have booked this from Klook! Safari World Bangkok is a popular animal theme park in Bangkok, Thailand. It offers a safari drive-through where you can see tigers, lions, and bears up close, as well as a marine park with dolphin and seal displays for guests. The giraffe feeding is a one-of-a-kind experience. Watch my Instagram reel HERE.

A bird aviary, a reptile house, and a safari park allow visitors to experience creatures in their native habitats. There are also various restaurants and gift shops for visitors to enjoy. Additional tip, book this with a buffet package so you don’t have to worry about lunch. Book it HERE.

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre

Visit at least one museum in Bangkok. Say, for example, the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, or BAAC. BAAC is a must-see sight for art lovers visiting Bangkok. It is a modern art museum in Bangkok where contemporary art displays include paintings, sculptures, installations, and multimedia works. Admission is free.

Bangkok Art

The architecture of the museum is particularly noteworthy, with its distinctive spiraling structure and huge open areas that allow visitors to explore the art exhibitions in a big and comfortable setting. The displays in the museum are thought-provoking and engaging, and the educational sessions enhance the experience.

Experience Mahanakhon SkyWalk

If you want to see a 360-degree view of the city, you should try going up to the Mahanakhon SkyWalk. The Mahanakhon SkyWalk is a prominent observation deck located on the 74th, 75th, and 78th floors of Bangkok’s King Power Mahanakhon building. The glass floor and walls of the building’s outdoor observation deck provide guests with spectacular views of the metropolitan skyline. You will totally feel the gravity pushing you. This is also available at KLOOK.

We chose the package where there is a photo booth inclusion. Better get that one for a printed souvenir. Aside from the observation deck, the Mahanakhon SkyWalk has a one-of-a-kind attraction called “The Glass Tray,” which is a glass box that extends out from the side of the building, giving visitors the impression that they are walking on air. Chao Phraya Princess Cruise in Bangkok

Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River Cruise is a renowned tourist attraction that allows guests to view the city’s iconic attractions from the water. Actually, we almost missed it because Bangkok traffic is crazy, but we are glad we made it! Depending on the time of day, the trip usually lasts a few hours and includes a buffet meal or lunch. We chose the dinner time schedule on our very first day.

Visitors can see iconic locations such as Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, and the Rama VIII Bridge while enjoying live entertainment and traditional Thai music along the way. It was really romantic watching these locations as we sailed, so they say.

I think I fell in love with this experience, which initially I thought would be chaotic with the crowd. But the Chao Phraya River Cruise is indeed a quiet and pleasurable way to visit the city’s sights and dine.

Michelin Plate Hotel Supanniga Restaurant

At first, I didn’t think of checking out Michelin-starred restaurants, but Bangkok is home to a lot of Michelin-rated restaurants. Thanks to my colleague at work for introducing Supanniga Restaurant. Supanigga Dining Room is a prominent Thai restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand’s trendy Thong Lo district. The menu at the restaurant includes a variety of classic Thai foods such as seafood, curries, and stir-fries, as well as vegetarian options.

The decor of the restaurant is sophisticated and modern, with an attractive and relaxing ambiance that makes it ideal for both casual meals and special events. Furthermore, the restaurant has a fantastic assortment of beverages and drinks to match the food.

Supanniga Dining Room is a must-see for anyone interested in traditional Thai cuisine with a contemporary touch. The food is excellent and well-prepared, and the environment is warm and welcoming. Yet, costs are very costly when compared to other Thai destinations.

A Souvenir Suit from SG Suit Thailand

SG Suit Thailand is a popular tailor store in Bangkok, Thailand. The company specializes in tailored suits and other formal attire for both men and women. Of course, as Ive been hearing, the suits are well-made, so I promised myself one during our visit.

Clients can select from a vast range of materials, colors, and designs, and the expert tailors at SG Suit will work with them to create a custom fit and design. I chose cashmere material, and in four days, I had my first custom-made suit done!

The quality of the workmanship and the materials utilized is great, and the shop’s reputation for customer service is likewise outstanding. The staff is courteous and experienced, and they are happy to offer advice and direction to consumers who may be unclear about what they want.

Visit Palladium Mall at Pratunam Area and look for SG Suit Thailand because this shop is an excellent alternative for anyone seeking high-quality custom-made suits or formal attire. Watch my Instagram reel HERE.

Overall, booking your Bangkok activities through the Klook app and combining your plans and flying via AirAsia has been a great combo. And speaking of Klook, currently they are having grand Cherry Blossom promos where you can avail up to PHP5,000 discount on your favorite Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan activities.
