(TV) PANGAKO SA YO Pilot Reached 34% Nationwide Ratings According to Kantar Media

True to its promise, PANGAKO SAYO series continues to break records in Philippine TV ratings. Last night, the Pilot episode of the remake hit 34++% nationwide according to Kantar Media. It is indeed one of the much awaited series of the decade, plus the fact that on its pilot episode, there were no Kathryn and Daniel yet. Kathniel are planning to produce 1 MILLION tweets on the episode where the two will appear on the series.

The pilot episode of Kathniel’s teleserye “Pangako Sa’yo” won with a rating of 34.0% and surpassed GMA 7’s “Let The Love Begin”  (15.0%) and TV5’s “Wattpad Presents (2.3%).

According to the latest data from Kantar Media, Princess and I ruled its timeslot with a 31.7% national TV ratings, posting a 15.4 difference compared to the 16.3% national TV rating of its rival program “Biritera” of GMA.
Got To Believe debuted strongly with a national TV rating of 34%.

The original PANGAKO SAYO series recorded its all time high of 64.9% according to AGB Nielsen. AGB has a total of 1,190 homes based in Mega Manila. Pacquiao vs Morales, Thalia’s Rosalinda and Judy Ann Santos’ Ezperanza, plus Meteor Garden and 1994 Miss Universe coronation night are among the few shows which hit 60% and above ratings in Mega Manila alone.

 PANGAKO SAYO also recorded its record breaking TV rating in Indonesia when it hit a whooping 50.8%, beating the  highest rating series Full House(50.5%).

Various countries bought the TV rights to air PANGAKO SAYO and dubbed in different languages. From United States to Canada up to Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, singapore, Botswana, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia and China. Everyone can’t get enough of the love story of Yna Macaspac and Angelo Buenavista.

In Cambodia, they localised the series into The Promise (Khmer:សន្យាស្នេហ៍) and was aired on 2013 with 198 episodes up until July 2014. Everyone is specculating that this (photo below) will happen occasionally in PANGAKO SA YO. lets see!

Meanwhile, AGB Nielsen released its TV ratings of PANGAKO SA YO and LET THE LOVE BEGIN of GMA 7. It seems like all regions, all sectors nationwide tuned in to ABSCBN’s PANGAKO SAYO. Mindanao Region posted an almost 40 pts  beating Let the Love Begin by miles. Pangako Sa ‘yo recorded 39.4% vs 13.5 of GMA7 series.

Same data in Urban Visayas where 38% of the population watch PSY over 14.8% of LTLB.

MEGA MANILA: Pangako Sayo 22.8%; Let The Love Begin 19.2%

METRO MANILA: Pangako Sayo 31%; Let The Love Begin 17.4%

URBAN LUZON: Pangako Sayo 30.0% ; Let The Love Begin 16.2%

URBAN VIS: Pangako Sayo 38%; Let The Love Begin 14.8%

URBAN MINDANAO: Pangako Sayo 39.4%; Let The Love Begin 13.5%
