(TV) TropaMoKo goes musical with “Paminta 101” MTV

Ogie Alcasid proves once again why he is deemed a genius in comedy with the hit segment “Paminta 101” in TV5’s Tropa Mo Ko Nice Di Ba?!, where he showcases his hilarious antics together with fellow gagsters Alwyn Uytingco, Edgar Allan Guzman and Wendell Ramos.

Ogie plays Bhoy Pahmin in the “Paminta 101” segment where he presents the differences between a straight guy, a gay and a “paminta” or closet gay. Ogie is usually accompanied by Wendell Ramos, who uses his hunk status to the hilt.

Vin Abrenica and Mark Neumann alternate in playing the role of a straight guy, with Alwyn Utingco effectively playing the gay friend while Edgar Allan Guzman plays the “paminta”, or the “pa-men” in gay lingo.

Composed by Ogie himself, the song is fast catching on, especially with the wacky video of its towel-clad male perpormers and the surprise appearance of Ogie’s wife, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, toward the end of the MTV.

Tropa Mo Ko Nice Di Ba?! airs more “Paminta 101” lessons every Saturday, 8PM on TV5.
