ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” puts the spotlight on men and women 45 years old and above in its newest singing competition that will prove it is never too late for them to shine. “Stars on 45” was launched on Monday (Nov 18) featuring middle-aged contestants crooning classic and contemporary hit tracks.
Fifty-three-year-old Felicitas Garcia was declared the segment’s first ever winner for entertaining the madlang people with her take on “Blue Bayou” and Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.”
“Stars on 45” proved its appeal to netizens when it trended for two days on Twitter Philippines, strengthening the lineup of “It’s Showtime” along with hit segment “That’s My Tomboy.”
Those who want to join “Stars on 45” can audition from Mondays to Fridays, 3-5PM at the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance. They should look for Jimmy Capulong and bring a valid ID, birth certificate, and minus one audio tracks of new and old songs.
