Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is set to become the home of another historic milestone as elite endurance athlete, record-breaking ultramarathoner, and women’s empowerment advocate Natalie Dau ends her latest leg of Project 1000 in the well-known community.
Project 1000 is an initiative started by Dau in an effort to raise crucial funds and awareness for several important beneficiaries, including BGC’s Bayani Scholars. The current leg started on April 21 in Cagayan. Prior to this, Dau’s last Project 1000 in 2024 had her running from Thailand to Singapore in just 12 days, setting multiple records, including a Guinness World Record for the Fastest Crossing of Peninsular Malaysia on Foot.
In addition to Bayani Scholars, Project 1000: Philippines is also undertaken for the benefit of additional local communities Natalie is expected to encounter along her route, including Tay-ac Elementary School in Ilocos Sur and the Zambales-based Alon & Araw Club and Sisters of Mary, both organizations that serve to help and support the underprivileged.
