A 39-year-old woman gets the ultimate birthday surprise of her life when she meets her idol, teen actor Daniel Padilla through the efforts of broadcast journalist Doris Bigornia in “Mutya ng Masa” tomorrow (Aug 20) on ABS-CBN.
Doris brings Amy to the set of Daniel’s newest teleserye “Got to Believe” just to meet and bond with the actor, after the program prepares a special birthday meal for her.
The young-at-heart Amy is part of a youth group in Sta. Ana, Manila that sells P20-peso meals to fund leadership trainings and sports fests for the youth in their area.
What other surprises has Daniel in store for Amy?
Doris also makes a 60-year-old dancing traffic aide Pascual happy by giving him a mobile phone so he can constantly keep in touch with his family in the province. Doris also grants Pascual’s wish to travel to Baguio with his family.
In “Mutya ng Masa,” Doris spreads good vibes, features the stories, interests, concerns, and simple joys of ordinary Filipinos, and provides instant relief to their plight by giving them things that will make them happy.
