ABS-CBN has announced that international hiphop sensation Apl De Ap as the fourth coach of the highly anticipated singing competition TheVoice of the Philippines. Thevoice that ruled the worldwide music charts, both as a solo artist and as part of Grammy Award-winning group Black Eyed Peas, joins Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, and Lea Salonga. Apl, in an interview with The Filipino Channel (TFC) in London,expressed how much he believes in the Filipino talent and is eager to find a Filipino artist who can also showcase their talent around the world the same way he did. “Pinoys were born to sing. We just got to go find them. There are just so many.” The Fil-Am singer also revealed the qualities he is looking for in his mentees and quipped,“Definitely the voice, stage presence and the ability to capture and engage the audience.
