Last week, I was invited to attend the launching of new channels that will make you more glued to your television. Tiger Gate Launches KIX and Thrill as part of the additional cable channels here in the country.
Hong Kong-based media company Celestial Tiger Entertainment’s SVP for Marketing Andy Chang explains the entire content of both channels. “I think it’s always driven by just good content, period. I think right now maybe it’s on the low because there hasn’t been anything that hitting someone’s nerve but soon as there is, you’ll see another way,”
To probably assuage the worry felt by frontrunners of horrors and thrillers, Chang cited that this phenomenon isn’t entirely affecting the Philippines alone.
“I mean, think about the US box office, right? Why on some years it’s out on the roof and on some years it’s quite bad, it really just boils down to, ‘Are there really a lot of good movies?’” Chang stated.
