During his stay with his father during the summer, he meets a poor girl who is his childhood friend and is a scholar of whom her family is depending on however, she is holding in a secret with regards to the true state of her scholarship. The two meet and comfort each other amidst their problems and they fall for each other as time goes on and as they get to know each other.

TRAILER

The Aerial views are certainly good. I remember the movie before form GMA films, Moments of Love which has the same good shots from the top.

It’s my first time with Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona on the big screen and I would say that their acting is a good for starters. The Kilig factor was there and I swear, Im not a huge fan but after watching the show, I got to know why their fans are shouting and cheering for the loveteam.

I remember Direk Mac Alejandre when he did Ikaw Na Sana back in 1998, Let the Love Begin in 2005 and In your Eyes topbill Claudine Barreto, Anne Curtis and Richard Gutierrez. Direk Mac was able to sustain the continuity of the story. The plot doesn’t only focuses on the loveteam but also about family, values, reconciliation and letting go. It is nice to see the romantic movie with developing plots from different angle. He was able to explain the srtory very well.

Joel Torre, Alice Dixson and Cherri Pie Picache gave a very great performance on the film. Their characters are one reason why I love the continuity of the plot.

One thing I have noticed was Elmo’s ugly camera blocking especially when she has a confrontation with Alice Dixson. But all in all, Elmo has a great start in the big screen. Fans were screaming everytime he remove his shirt, which is in fairness to his youthful toned and flawless body.  Julie Anne, I have nothing to say but is a real charmer.

Lows: The musical scoring is not that appealing, editing included. But considering the casts made an exceptional acting, it was OK!

MY TOP 5 Favorite scenes:

1. The Alitaptap Scene with Julie Ann and Elmo.

2. The Scene on the farm when they’re extracting the milks.

3. Aerial view of the farms.

4. Joel Torre and Cherrie Pie Pichache’s jokes and endearments.

5. The whole day date of Beto and Nyel.

Produced by GMA Films and under the direction of Mac Alejandre, “Just One Summer,” which also stars Benedict Campos, Ken Chan, Lexi Fernandez, Steven Silva, Amazing Betong, Mae Bautista, Sef Cadayona and Sheena Halili, opens in theaters nationwide on August 15, 2012

Im giving the movie a 8 out of 10 Rating! Congrats GMA Films!
