With all these things happened, many of the organization including private organization pledged support to our fellow flood victims. And I admire those companies who also has a corporate responsiblity towards the society.
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. of Japan, the parent company of the four Honda companies in the Philippines, announced that it will donate ¥1M (about Php 500,000) to families affected by the recent floods that hit the country.
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. fully understands the plight of the 539,838 families or 2 million Filipinos affected by the heavy floods, which continues to remain a significant economic and political issue in the Philippines.
In addition, Honda Foundation, Inc., the working organization for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of the Honda Group in the Philippines: Honda Philippines, Inc. (motorcycle manufacturer), Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (car manufacturer), Honda Parts Manufacturing Corp. (Honda parts supplier), and Honda Trading Philippines, will donate One Million Pesos to help provide aid and assistance to the families and communities devastated by the recent calamity, and also help in disaster recovery and rebuilding efforts.
This will be a big help for us and I hope more private companies will make Honda a model institution to the future.
