Got Fridays at Teatrino brings you the R&B Wonder boy, THOR who recently performed on David Foster & Friends concert at Araneta Coliseum. It will be a night full of music as he sings your favorite R&B hits on November 25, 9pm at Teatrino Greenhills. THOR was a choirboy who began singing professionally at the age of nineteen with Myxtreme, which also meant doing backups vocals for various artists, singing jingles and sessioning for other bands.
His very amazing, full of LOVE album was released 2007 under Ivory Music Philippines, SOUL OBSESSIONS. conceptualized from his radio segment on Wave 89.1. The Album was THOR’s collaboration with the Philippines greatest artists like Jay durias of South Border, Luke Mijares, MYMP, Nina, Amber Davis, Jinky Vidal
Honestly, Im a BIG FAN of THOR more than he can imagine. Well, for starters Im a huge fan of Wave 89.1 songs. Most of them are soul RnB and music which has not landed into commercial. Dreamsounds, a segment in Wave 89.1 is one of my favorites. they also released an Album entitled DREAMSOUNDS which has 7 Volumes and, not surprisingly I have a copy of all those. 8)
THOR’s Album SOUL OBSESSIONS, duet with THOR is also my favorite! From SUDDENLY, his duet with Jinky Vidal; Just One Dance, his duet with Jerome Nunez on violin and Be My Number Two with MYMP are my personal picks. I dont know why he’s voive is so purely romantic (sic) that everytime I listen to him, its like he always owned a certain song and made a very good rendition of everything. His inclusion with the ride with David Foster is one of the biggest opportunities he has and everyone is very happy with the development, myself included that he’s back with the industry, nevertheless from a group which is close to my heart, CORNERSTONE.
I got the chance to sit with him last thursday and we talked about everything, including his great experiences in life. I let him sing a few lines from THE LAST TIME. We were at the Starbucks Morato and he was like, making everyone stopped what theyre doing upon hearing his rendition. GOOSEBUMPS is an understatement.
