The 20th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival has concluded with a bang, showcasing the best of Filipino filmmaking talent.

This year’s edition, themed “20 Years of Fearless Filmmaking,” celebrated two decades of championing independent cinema. With a strong lineup of films, the festival captured the hearts and minds of audiences nationwide.

  • Best Film: Tumandok by Richard Jeroui Salvadico and Arlie Sweet Sumagaysay
  • Best Director: Jaime Pacena II – Kono Basho
  • The Cinemalaya 20 Special Jury Award for Full-length Film: Alipato at Muog by JL Burgos.
  • Best Actress: Gabby Padilla – Kono Basho, and Marian Rivera – Balota
  • Best Actor: Enzo Osorio – The Hearing
  • Cinemalaya 20 NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) Award for Full-length Film: Richard Jeroui Salvadico and Arlie Sweet Sumagaysay – Tumandok
  • Best Supporting Actress: Sue Prado – Kantil
  • Best Supporting Actor: Felipe Ganancial – Tumandok
  • Best Screenplay for Full-length: Arden Rod Condez and Arlie Sweet Sumagaysay – Tumandok
  • Best Cinematography: Dan Villegas – Kono Basho
  • Best Editing: Dominic Bekaert – An Errand
  • Best Production Design: Eero Yves Francisco – Kono Basho
