The King of Philippine Primetime Television is now back on your regular household. Last night the premiere of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano starring Coco Martin delivered a whopping 41.6% in national TV ratings vs Marimar’s 16.3%. This is one of the highest pilot episodes again in nationwide measurement.
Marimar is topbilled by former Star Magic artist Megan Young. This is second project/adaptation of GMA Network. The first one was popularly billed by Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.
In its latest nationwide ratings, ABS-CBN opened final week of September stating they have more viewers in the entire afternoon and primetime blocks with its shows beating competition. The pilot episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda premiered with a national tv rating of 5.7% vs Saksi with 4.4%.
With the combination of good story, script and bankability of Coco Martin, all of his TV Series are now considered as the top rater projects of ABSCBN. He did Juan Dela Cruz last 2013 and recorded a whooping 42.6 as its all time high. Walang Hanggan, was also a success with 45.4% peak on primetime. It became the only Philippine drama of 2012 to have surpassed the 40% margin, registering a whooping of 41%.
Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin back in 2010 is also one of the most memorable series to note in Philippine television. The series ended strongly, earning first place in the ratings with 39.1% audience share.
No doubt that Coco Martin is indeed the King of Philippine Primetime Television!
