From among the farms we visited in Bacolod, Rapha Valley Organic Farm, I guest is closest to me. First, Dr. Albert Jo‘s words strike me as If I am living a very unhealthy lifestyle haha. Second, I have learned a lot of wrong notions about the food I really eat, being one of the busiest among my peers. Kidding aside, Dr. Albert’s sharing very good information is the most memorable. I think everytime I will visit this blog, I can still hear him saying these. at First we were welcomed by a healthy drink combination of fruits and herbal leaves and vegan snack of puto, non-dariy cheese dip. He handed us also a frozen towel treated with natural scents of citronella plants.
As a medical Practitioner and promoter of Organic food, he has all the right to share this information. His lecture gave me a different impression now on how I see fast food chains. Here are some of the information he shared to us.
1. Malunggay (moringa) around 1/8 cup will give us the same calcium of four cups of milk, Victamin C of 7 oranges, Potassium od 3 Bananas and Vitamin A of Four carrots. Imagine I dont eat Carrot and by replacing Moringa over my overnight milk, I can get the same or higher result! Alternatively, he suggests that If I want to drink milk, I have to acquire it from New Zealand.
2. He shared, “Digestion starts upon seeing the food. That is the reason why you salivate when you see the food because it signals the brain to produce the enzymes to digest the food properly.”
3. DO NOT EAT MEAT. If we want to eat meat, we should eat grass-fed cow and organic pigs.
4. WHITE RICE is just merely sugar. If we can replace it with red, brown or black rice, the better.
5. STOP, EATING, BURGERS. He mentioned that some of the imported US beef are the dirtiest
He also mentioned about storing water in the Tapayan. We used to have tapayan. He said that mineral water that promises to be healthy are no longer healthy water. And it is safe to store w3ater in the Tapayan as the algae on the sides filters the water and produces a more fresh and healthier drink.
He has a lot of good information about the food we eat and I will ask my blogger friend JR If I can share her video lecture so we can learn form the expert, sadly I wasnt able to take a video of him as I was seated near Dr. Jo. SECRET RECIPE he SHARED.DETOXIFY!
Dr. Albert shared us a way on how to detoxify using organic items. Detoxification/Slimming process can actually help you lose weight about 3-5 lbs and some up to 10lbs per week. All you need are the following: 1 Liter of Water, around 20 pieces of Calamansi, 2 tablespoon of Black strap molasses and around 1/8 tsp. Cayenne pepper.
First, extract the juice from the calamansi and mix it together with other ingredients. Drink 3 to 4 liters per day for 3 consecutive days without any food intake except water. This is a complete meal and just drink it if you are feeling hungry.
