Early this month, there has been a clamor about Mario Maurer coming to Manila for Penshoppe and was confirmed by someone I respected, PR ASIA Director for International Publicity Joyce Ramirez. Last week, a meeting was held between PR Asia and Star Cinema about a possible MOVIE of Mario Maurer. And last weekend, it was confirmed that the movie is on the planning stage.
Well for Starters, who is Mario Maurer. Mario is a popular Thai actor who did some memorable movies such as Love of Siam, Friendship, Autumn Destiny and the most popular by Pinoys, Crazy Little Thing Called Love that was aired and dubbed in tagalong months ago on ABSCBN. As an endorser, Maurer participated for the first time for Exit Rollon and other popular brands such as The Pizza Company, Sugus, Foremost and now he acted as the presenter for Honda Jazz,[15] Pepsi, Dutchmill and Sony Ericsson.
Of course RodMagaru.com has to confirm the veracity of this report so I BBMed one of the Promo Genius of Star Cinema my dear friend Roxy Liquigan about the rumor. He told me that as of press time, there will be another meeting to be held in Bangkok with Mario Maurer.
As the news exploded first on Twitter, I asked everyone who among the Kapamilya stars they want to see in the possible Mario Maurer film. Popular Choices were, Erich Gonzales, Kim Chiu and Sarah Geronimo.
Joyce Ramirez in her twitter account said that ERICH GONZALES is the TOP actress recommended to them by Star Cinema – her acting skills, Filipina looks make her a perfect fit for the ROLE. She also mentioned that she and STAR CINEMA need to iron out a lot of details including the SCRIPT. And the selection of the Actress will only be revealed after the script was presented to Mario.
But upon asking my twitter friends, most of them tweeted one Hashtag for more than 50. That is #KimChiuForMarioMaurer. Theres Also Sarah Geronimo and Erich as well.
