UPDATES: TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR ARAW NG MAKATI

Makati City will be celebrating "340 Araw ng Makati 2010" on June 10 to 11, 2010. Different activities will be held within Makati's primary area on the said dates. Hence, road closures will be conducted. The following are the schedules


TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Makati City will be celebrating “340 Araw ng Makati 2010″ on June 10 to 11, 2010. Different activities will be held within Makati’s primary area on the said dates. Hence, road closures will be conducted. The following are the schedules:

From 12:00 noon to midnight of June 10, 2010, the following will be closed:

Ayala Avenue– from Makati Avenue up to Herrera, both lanes
Paseo de Roxas– from Sedeno Street up to de la Rosa Street, both lanes
Rufino Street– from Valero Street to de la Rosa Street

From 12:00 noon to 4:00pm of June 11, 2010, the following will be closed:

Malugay Street– from Pasong Tamo to Ayala Avenue and from Ayala Avenue to Gil Puyat Avenue, both lanes
Ayala Avenue– from Gil Puyat to Metropolitan Street and from Kamagong to Gil Puyat

Traffic Rerouting

For all passenger bus:

From EDSA, turn right to Gil Puyat going to destination while those coming
From Gil Puyat, turn left at EDSA going to destination.

For all PUJ and light vehicles:

From J.P. Rizal, turn right to Paseo de Roxas, turn right to Villar St., left turn to E.P. Leviste, left turn to V.A. Rufino St., and then right turn to Ayala Avenue toward destination.
From Washington Street, right turn to Gil Puyat, right turn to Ayala Avenue, right turn to Salcedo, left turn to Benavidez toward Esperanza, right turn to Makati Avenue, right turn to Arnaiz Avenue, right turn to Paseo de Roxas, left turn to de la Rosa, right turn to Salcedo and finally, left turn to Ayala Avenue toward destination.

Recommendations:

Since heavy traffic is expected, taking of alternate route is advised.
Avoid the activity area.
