(TV) FOX FILIPINO To Go OFF-AIR This July 2020

Sadly, Fox Filipino will be discontinued its programming effective midnight of July 6 (my birthday) as per channel partner, FOX. Sky Cable announced it on their official website this week.

The decision for the channel closure was made following a review of FOX business operations in the market. FOX Filipino brought popular Kapuso series such as Pepito Manoloto, Mulawin versus Ravena and Encantadia.

Recently, HOOQ also bid farewell in the Philippines after the company decided to focus have its reorganization. Hooq has thus been unable to grow sufficiently to provide sustainable returns nor cover escalating content costs and the continuous operating costs of the platform, according to the statement. On the other hand, iflix cuts staff as debt deadline, virus uncertainties loom.
