Kantar Media released the Nationwide TV Ratings from January 1 to 11 and after months of suffering from the nationwide ratings game versus the longest noontime show Eat Bulaga, It Showtime finally saw the light! Last January 11, it recorded 15.5% ratings nationwide versus Eat Bulaga’s 15.2%. This is the first time Eat Bulaga reached below 16 since Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza joined the show sometime mid last year.

January 1: It’s Showtime (9.9%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.3%)
January 2: It’s Showtime (Saturday) (13.7%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (Saturday) (20.3%)
January 4: It’s Showtime (13.9%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.1%)
January 5: It’s Showtime (13.8%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.7%)
January 6: It’s Showtime (13.5%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (15.9%)
January 7: It’s Showtime (15.0%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (16.6%)
January 8: It’s Showtime (15.5%) vs. Eat… Bulaga! (16.0%)

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while the other ratings data supplier AGB Nielsen reportedly has only 1,980 homes based solely in urban areas that represent only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.
At the last week of 2015, Its showtime launches the grand come back of the classic singing contest that gave rise to today’s OPM legends, “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”
