Hello, Love, Goodbye is getting a much-anticipated sequel. Star Cinema and GMA Pictures are partnering on the movie, which is a major deal in the Philippine film business. Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, will reprise their roles as Joy and Ethan, respectively. Since the popularity of the first film, fans have been eagerly awaiting a sequel entitled, “Hello, Love, Again”
“Hello, Love, Goodbye” remained the highest-grossing Filipino film until January 2024.
Hello, Love, Goodbye follows the lives of Joy, a dedicated Filipina domestic assistant in Hong Kong, and Ethan, a lovely Filipino bartender. Joy is determined to save money and provide a better life for her family in the Philippines, so she wants to leave Hong Kong shortly. Ethan, on the other hand, has already established a life in the city and is on course to become a permanent resident.
Despite their differing goals, Joy and Ethan form a bond. They find companionship and support in one another despite the difficulties of being overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). As they spend more time together, their feelings deepen and develop into love.
However, Joy’s upcoming departure poses a significant challenge to their blossoming romance. The film delves into the intricacies of love, sacrifice, and pursuing one’s aspirations, all set against the backdrop of the Filipino immigration experience.
Hello, Love, Goodbye was a major box office success in the Philippines. It earned ₱880 million pesos in global gross sales. The much anticipated sequel will be released on November 13, according to reports. (Deadline).
