Seems like a lot online were shocked on the premise of the story so this will be another exciting Festival again. The highly esteemed members of the selection committee, led by the multi-awarded and well-respected figurehead of the film industry Boots Anson-Rodrigo, selected the top eight films based on the following standards: artistic excellence (40%) commercial appeal (40%) Filipino cultural values (10%) and international appeal (10%).
While I find this trailer compelling, I feel like there are problematic areas about representation in this preview. I know its premature to judge but that’s why I can’t wait to see this in cinemas. At the same time, some were not entertained about the trailer and posted their reaction publicly.
social issues will never make you feel comfortable and that’s why some people call it trash because they’ve never been there or maybe are too focused on video games & teen-romance movies and so centered on fighting for equality while turning a blind eye on rotten tomatoes

Kalurks yung trailer ng MMFF entry ng My Father, my chorva.

Kadiri. 🤮
