Over the weekend, my mom was asking about getting a new tablet for our smart-monitoring system at home. As lockdown gave me more opportunities to explore home improvements, I got the chance to breakdown things that need upgrade at home and one of the things I’ve learned is to slowly transition to smart-digital system at home. This shift made me invest on good smart plugs, cable wirings and of course, a monitor hence, the need for tablet arise. But I realize I also want to have table that I can bring and use for entertainment.
Anyway, I mentioned about table because today, I’m sharing you my review of this large entertainment tablet with strong performance from Huawei. I’m talking about the Huawei MatePad T10 LTE. I like that it sits perfectly on my notebook stand.
This is actually my first time to use a tablet from Huawei and my first impression is that, in terms of design it is flawless and light-weight. If I remember correctly the last time I owned a tablet was 2018 when I decided to buy one so that I can approve something at work without even opening my laptop. This Huawei MatePad T10 is easy to carry because it is very slim (7.85mm).
One of the things I like about this Huawei MatePad T10 is its smooth transition when browsing right from the lock screen. It’s processor Kirin 710A Octa-core chips make it easier to for the applications to open. Oh by the way, 2GB RAM and 32GB memory is enough for you to use this tablet. For its entry-level range, this will pass as excellent! Here are some of the specs.
Speaking of watching your favorite series, of course this Huawei MatePad T10 is perfect whenever you want to use it. Most of the time, I’d like to bring my favorite series to my bed hence its 9.7-inch large screen gives better experience. Last night I watch the KDRAMA Reply 1988 and glad that there’s this filter they’re using for eye protection. Yep, this table is equipped with TUV Rheinland certification to protect our vision as it filters out blue light when you need it the most!
I also took note of its sound design while watching because it appears that there are two large speakers on both sides to provide ultimate audio experience. And good job for creating an ergonomically design for smooth grip. And as they very generous with its specs, it also has matte-metal cover and thankfully, a type-C USB charging port.
The next day, I tested the unit again to clearly see its resolution in the morning and good thing the much awaited series TRESE — adapted from Filipino horror comic by Budjette Tan and KaJO Baldisimo is out and I glad that it delivers the HD Display I needed.
I also want to commend its 1280 x 800 resolution because the colors are very much alive. And look at its 75% screen-to-body ratio. Comparatively better than Lenovo Tab 4 which only has 70.7%
For its camera, it has 5MP at rear and 2MP at front.
This is typical for its entry-level range but what I like the most is that there are options in the camera settings where you can play PRO and arrange or use beauty filter.
This tablet is also ideal if you have kids at home because Huawei MatePad T10 is very kid-friendly as it has its own Kids Corner. There are four pre-installed apps such as Kids painting, Camera, recorder and multimedia. For parents, there are content and time management system so you can make sure your kids are using gadgets with guidance.
All in all, this Huawei MatePad T10 is ideal for students, those who need additional gadget for learning, parents who are providing entertainment for kids. And glad that I was able to use this tablet on my zoom meetings –to take note and to binge watch my favorite Kdrama.
Huawei MatePad T10 LTE is priced at P7,999. For more details on how you can buy and more information about this, kindly visit https://consumer.huawei.com/ph/tablets/matepad-t-10/
