(FASHION) Select & Make your Own Havaianas 2016 This Weekend April 22-24! #MYOH2016

This is the season again for Havaianas! I got first dibs yesterday on what to expect forthis year’s selection at the Make your Own Havaianas event area at SM Megamall Fashion Hall!

As usual, I always have a hard time choosing a design for myself for my newly personalized Havaianas pair.

This year, Havaianas is paying homage to its origin with a Shibori-inspired Make Your Own Havaianas! This is actually the 11th year of the biggest and most anticipated customization event in the country.

Soon as they announced that we can proceed with the assembly area, I already told them that I chose the commemorative pair below. I personally liked the design since it depicts the japanese culture and is refreshing to look at– just in time for the current season here in the Philippines!

The theme is all about the ancient art of Shibori, a Japanese fabric-dyeing technique that makes use of indigo shades to create beautiful patterns on cloths for kimonos and obi sashes. Below are the sample pins to choose from. I chose Ninja and Ramen. 🙂

From April 22 to 24, Make Your Own Havaianas (MYOH) takes every Havaianatico to the Land of the Rising Sun at the SM Mega Fashion Hall. Here’s where everyone gets to customize their very own kawaii (cute)-inspired flip-flops – from the color of the soles and straps to one-of-a-kind iconic Japanese pins! Just like previous years, celebrity assemblers are joining this year’s event to assist lucky customers in personalizing their flip-flops.

Thank you Havaianas for having me! Here are some of the pairs!
