Beauty and The Bestie is directed by Box Office Director Wenn Deremas.
If you want to laugh, this is certainly the cinema you should look for. Beauty and The Bestie is the legitimate comedy treat this christmas. Director Wenn Deramas managed to isolate this movie from the roster of comedy films he made in the past. All of the punchlines and memes from what you see on TV put together in this film is a major win for your money. The blend of story conflict to comic prowess of Vice Ganda is an attestation that the plot was well reviewed.
Vice Ganda and Coco Martin managed to established a tandem crossing both genre: action and comedy. I liked how they played with their own weaknesses to please people and make them laugh. From here I am already sold.
My Mom, (we were standing for like two hours), was laughing hard I can’t help but say well, this is good. Deramas was able to get into the heart of Pinoy audience. This filmfest entry will be included on the roster of Tanging Ina series, If I have to rank it from good Deramas projects.
I have to admit; I didn’t like previous Deramas movies such as Praybeyt Benjamin II and recently WANGFAM which I rated 6/10 that is why I am hesitant to see another Deramas film. This one, it didn’t dissapoint. He made sure that this filmfest will have something to talk about, and he succeeded.
What I particularly love about this movie is the ultimate kilig loveteam on primetime, James Reid and Nadine Lustre. Nadine is effortlessly funny. She is an epitome of modern Maricel Soriano. James Reid brought his charm in this movie, you can smile all along in every scene he’s in.
I liked how Deramas equally distributed the fun from the supporting roles of Lassy and friends. It sustained the enthusiasm from the crowd to wait for Vice to throw a punchline with them.
Product placement of Jollibee was well handled, in fact people laughed at it as an obvious product ad.
TOP 5 SCENES I LIKED.
- That Piracy campaign impersonation
- Miss Uniworld 2015 Q & A
- Action packed scenes (all of em!)
- Jadine’s kissing scene. (Oops sorry though Im sure you expect this?)
- TWERK!
Things I didn’t like: (Wait, I am still thinking. Everything is soo good)
I liked how the movie ended with reconciliation, love for family and how the test of friendship ruled the past.
Rod Magaru Show rates BEAUTY and THE BESTIE >>> 9/10
Omo!!! ^0^ I know it’ll turn really really great! Nice one Vice, Coco and of course JaDine!!!!!!! ^_^
Ang daming good reviews! Ang daming good feedbacks! This is JaDine’s first MMFF entry together with Vice and Coco. People can see Nadine and James’s improvement – from OTWOL to BATB. Nakakatuwa kasi lalong na- highlight yung funny side ni Nadine sa movie. Iba din ang lakas ng tandem nina Vice and Coco! Iba yung atake sa mga manunuod. I know na maraming mapapangiti ang movie na ‘to. I hope and pray for the best! 🙂

Yeah. I literally cried in the Q&A portion. I also liked the scene where they sang Hold On and they stared at the moon. The Birthday Song too. ????????????
