One of the most popular entries in the recent Himig Handog Lovesongs of Star Music, “Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako” is now a movie. Directed by Joven Tan who also wrote the song, the movie topbills Edgar Allan Guzman and Michael Pangilinan. Edgar Allan plays the gay friend who fell in love with Michael. Good to have Edgar Allan in this project as he is one of the versatile actors of today.

I was listening last night at MOR 101.9 with one of the best DJs in the country, DJ Chacha (whose very good in radio advise geez now I am turning my night drive going home listening to 101.9 bandwidth) with Michael Pangilinan when I learned about the project. Michael mentioned that the movie might have a gay themed niche, but is not only for the gay audience, also for everyone who once in their lives, fell in love with their close friends.

I don’t have the trailer yet on this movie but for starters, you can watch the official music video from the Himig Handog Love Songs which brought Michael Pangilinan on music industry limelight.
Michael is also working on his second album under Star Music aside from finishing this movie. Also starring Matt Evans, Joross Gamboa, and It’s Showtime’s Gandang Lalaki Grand winner Nikko Seagal.
