Just this morning, I posted the complete list of winners of 30th Star Awards for Movies which was held last sunday night at Solaire Resort and Casino. The truth is, I have been posting their results for years because I believe many of my readers are also interested. I remember when I was a child I stay late at night just to know who got the Best Picture or Best Actress Award from various award giving bodies here in the Philippines. I WAS A FAN back then..
Tonight, I opened my facebook and saw Jobert Sucaldito’s STATUS UPDATE. it is about the recently concluded Star Awards for Movies. I don’t want to comment yet on this as I want to talk to PMPC organizers, majority of those are my facebook friends and acquaintances on celebrity and press events.
What Jobert Sucaldito posted is not new to me, but an alarming one to stakeholders.

Before we conclude on this, here are my two cents about the category, BEST ACTOR:
1. Vice Ganda deserves an acting award for GIRL BOY BAKLA TOMBOY, his stellar performance of 4 different characters is worth a nod considering he is so busy. How he managed to act differently is an attestation that he gave his best to Star Cinema’s entry to Metro Manila Film Festival.
2. I will lobby Joel Torre to win acting award for ON THE JOB. He is equally effective in his role.
3. George Estregan’s acting on GOLDEN BOY is just fine.
4. There should be no money involve in any election. it defeats the purpose of the selection. of fairness.
5. We WILL NEVER BE OSCARS.
